This site is dedicated to the memory of Marcelle Jenkins.
Marcelle Jenkins was born in Egypt on December 10, 1919 a daughter to Georges and Marie-Louise Schemali and sister to Raymond, Louis, Andre and Roger.
She married Leslie Jenkins in 1945 with whom she had three children: Tom, Deb and Chris. She was also grandmother to Elise and Alex.
Her life had always been centered on the Mediterranean area until 1966 when the family relocated to North London, originally Leslie's home, though kept strong links to France and in particular Sète where Marcelle had a second home.
In latter years, Marcelle moved to Reading where her daughter Deb and son in law Dave reside.

How I miss seeing you , often unexpectedly. It did not matter if I phoned you in advance or if I turned up expectantly, you were always ready with your door opened and a big smile on our face. I did not know your past but our friendship was as good as a strong link build after many years together . One day I will come to see you in that far away paradise. Fadela
